Sonador, Spanish for “Dreamy”, and that is what our farm is to us, living a dream. Sonador Farm is the home of Stephen and Kim Fritz and our family on 14 acres nestled at the foothills of the Blue Ridge Mountains in Round Hill, Virginia. Sonador Farm is located less than half an hour from Dulles airport and convenient to I-81 and Washington, DC.

Our family raises Llamas and Welsh Cobbs based on our love for the breeds, and our desire to include them in our family. The road to our dream is a funny one. Stephen was born overseas and lived in Morocco for a portion of his youth. This youth produced a great love for being around camels, like Llamas a member of the camelid family. Kim had a dream of moving to the country from the city years ago to rekindle memories of her youth living on a small farm in Indiana. Well here is where the Green Acres reenactment starts. Stephen, loving his wife and being a Homebuilder, agreed to build her a home on the parcel of land she found, like Columbus planting a flag upon it proclaiming it hers to own. Kim, loving Steve and owning livestock in her youth, agreed to have livestock on the farm for the pleasure and business to use the land. Well little did Kim appreciate the kind of livestock Steve loved, and after a serious period of negotiation Steve agreed to forgo Camels, but succeeded in beginning a small but wonderful herd of Llamas. Kim not to be left out found that Imported Welsh Cobbs were to the liking of her riding desires, and of course every little girl needs a pony, and we have three girls hence the three ponies. That is the story of the Sonador Farm birth.

Sonador Farm concentrates on producing show quality animals with single coat and/or suri fiber with exceptional conformation. We are a small specialized breeder with a foundation herd of females always less than twenty animals with the best bloodlines available. Our breeding males are Full Peruvian Suri Outcross, Full Bolivian, and Chilean. We attend all local shows and have won numerous Grand Championships and Reserve Grand’s with our animals. Sonador proudly breeds for the love of the animals and whatever your needs and desires, be they Show, 4-H, Packing, or Pets we will satisfy you or happily refer you to another quality breeder. Our goal is quality breeding as well as total customer education and satisfaction.
